Dr. Parth Shah
Dr. Parth Shah is an Ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon with expertise in both medical and surgical retina, cataract surgery, and secondary intraocular lenses.
Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Shah completed his undergraduate studies at Ontario Tech University before earning his medical degree at Midwestern University in Arizona. During medical school, he engaged in clinical research at the Mayo Clinic and was later selected for a research fellowship in ophthalmology at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. His work has resulted in multiple publications in leading journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology, as well as presentations at national meetings such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Shah went on to complete his Ophthalmology residency at the University at Buffalo, followed by a two-year Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital—widely regarded as one of the top retina fellowships in the world.
Beyond his clinical expertise, his professional interests include innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and advocacy. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, playing hockey and golf, and proudly supports his hometown teams—the Leafs, Jays, and Raptors. Dr. Shah is thrilled to return home to serve patients in Toronto and the GTA.
